and Now I’m Obsessed with Chapter Header Art

Let me paint the picture: me, in a bookstore (or online, let’s be real), promising myself I’m “just browsing.” And then? BAM. A towering stack of cozy mysteries, witchy romcoms, indie gems, and one very vengeful Mrs. Claus later… I’m filming this haul and spiraling over how cute some of these books are. Like, aesthetic chapter header cute.

Yes, I bought 11 books.
No, I don’t regret it.
Yes, I now want to add adorable chapter headings to all my own books because I am weak for a motif.

✨ Let’s Talk Chapter Headers

One unexpected delight in this haul? Several of these books had the cutest little illustrations at the start of each chapter—icons, teacups, beautiful illustrations, cats, tornados, etc. It sent me on a spiral thinking:

Should I start adding chapter art to my own books?
Would it be too much if every cozy mystery had a tiny cat silhouette?
(Spoiler: it would not.)
